About Me
Hi, I'm Mara Lane
I'm the curator and the hook behind CrochetLuma, and this is my home on the internet for cozy, colorful crochet.
A few years ago I was looking for a simple crochet frog pattern. Thirty minutes later I had forty browser tabs open, half of them dead links, and the rest buried under ads. The patterns I wanted were out there; they were just hard to find.
So I started keeping a list. Then the list became folders, and the folders became this site.
What CrochetLuma actually is
CrochetLuma is a curated home for the best amigurumi, bunny, bandana, flower and Thanksgiving patterns. Every pattern here is one I'd happily make myself: clear rounds, honest skill levels and materials you can actually find.
When I feature another designer's work, I always link straight back to them, because they did the hard part. I'll never claim someone else's design as my own.
Why âLumaâ?
Luma means light, and that is the feeling I want here: a warm lamp, a soft pile of yarn and a project you canât wait to finish. Little handmade things can make a day brighter.
What you'll find here
- Amigurumi: animals, loveys, keychains and seasonal characters.
- Bunny crochet: sweet bunnies and bunny loveys.
- Bandanas: quick makes for pets and people.
- Flowers: appliqués, brooches and bouquets that never wilt.
- Thanksgiving: pumpkins and cozy autumn makes for the holiday table.
My approach
I'm not trying to be the biggest pattern site. I'd rather be the one you trust: fewer patterns, better ones, written so you can pick up a hook and go.
As CrochetLuma grows I'm also working on original patterns of my own. Thanks for being here. Now go make something cute! đ§¶
