Good to know

Amigurumi is the Japanese art of making small stuffed animals and characters, and in crochet it is usually worked in spirals with single crochet. Each project here lists the yarn, hook size, stitch count for every round and how to finish.

Use a hook one size smaller than the yarn label suggests so the stuffing does not show through, and mark the start of every round with a stitch marker.

Safety eyes are quick, but embroidered eyes are the safer choice for babies and small children. Weave in every end firmly, stuff in small pieces for an even shape, and sew limbs on last so you can adjust their position.
